Istanbul is my favorite city in Turkey. It’s the only city in the world that spans two continents – Europe and Asia! You can’t miss the Hagia Sophia, a stunning piece of history that was once a church, then a mosque, and now a museum. The Blue Mosque is another gem with its beautiful blue tiles. And oh, the Grand Bazaar! It’s a shopper’s paradise where you can find anything from spices to jewelry.

Must-Do:

  • Cruise on the Bosphorus at sunset – the views are simply magical.

2. Cappadocia
Fairy Tale Land

Cappadocia is like stepping into a fairy tale. The landscape is dotted with whimsical fairy chimneys and cave dwellings. I highly recommend taking a hot air balloon ride at sunrise. Floating above this surreal landscape is something you’ll never forget. The Goreme Open-Air Museum is also a must-see with its ancient rock-cut churches.

3. Antalya
The Turquoise Coast

If you love the beach, Antalya is your go-to spot. The turquoise waters here are incredibly inviting. I loved exploring the old town, Kaleiçi, with its narrow cobblestone streets and historic buildings. Make sure to check out the ancient ruins of Termessos and Aspendos. And of course, lounging on Konyaaltı Beach is a perfect way to relax.

The Bodrum Castle is a fascinating historical site, and the beaches are perfect for soaking up the sun. I loved spending time at Gumbet and Bitez beaches, both offering great vibes and clear waters.

6. Pamukkale
The Cotton Castle

Pamukkale is like no other place on Earth. The white travertine terraces filled with thermal waters are a natural wonder. Walking barefoot on these terraces felt like walking on clouds. The ancient city of Hierapolis, right above Pamukkale, is also worth exploring. Cleopatra’s Pool, with its submerged Roman columns, is a unique swimming spot.
